When it comes to dog training, recent developments have improved the lives of our canine companions dramatically. Since the 1990s a kinder, more reward-based approach has replaced the more severe training methods, such as the choke chain, that were once acceptable punishments for doggy misdemeanors. One of the greatest proponents of this new approach to dog training was John Fisher, a pet behavior counselor, who really understood what made even the most uncontrollable dog tick. With such books as “Why Does My Dog?” and “Think Dog!” he encouraged owners to see their training techniques from the dog’s point of view, and the results were phenomenally successful. This program has been designed to bring you the very best of John Fisher’s dog training methods, to help you establish a good relationship with your dog from day one. Beginning with puppies, selecting the right breed for your lifestyle and early socialization. The program will then take you through every aspect for dog care, helping you to avoid the most common problems that arise. Prevention truly is better than cure, and “Dog Training: The John Fisher Way” provides everything that you need to know to enjoy life with your dog to the fullest. You will learn – What makes your dog tick? – How to view training from your dog’s point of view. – How to establish a great relationship with your pooch, from day one. – How to select the right breed for you. – and much more.
