Here’s the truth - 99% of financial media is predicated on two things: story and direction. Some expert attaching a story to predict market direction, which ends up being completely random and unpredictable anyway. Or, my personal favorite, these same experts attaching stories to direction retroactively.
The rub is neither of these help us make decisions in real-time, with real money, in the face of uncertainty and randomness. So what’s the answer? It starts with an approach to the market that is rooted in humility, and it continues with this - forget story and direction, and think strategy.
